This Saturday, November 20 on TVE 2 within the program “La Noche Temática” (from 23h in Spain, duration: 55min) will be broadcast the documentary co-financed by SIMON DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, entitled A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS, which tells the true story of Marta Borrell, who at the age of 14 undertook a trip to rural Mozambique with the aim of understanding how to improve education in the most disadvantaged countries. After his exciting adventure, and with the firm intention of contributing his grain of sand, he was able to present the conclusions of his study before the UN, on January 24, 2020, International Day of Education.
In this documentary by the production company Góndola Films, the problem of education in developing countries is analyzed in depth from the perspective of some children. It has contributions from experts such as Federico Mayor Zaragoza, former Director-General of UNESCO; Ndaba Mandela, President of Africa Rising Foundation; Jaime Saavedra, Director of the Education Department of the World Bank, Luis Álvarez, President of the IBO Foundation, Montserrat del Pozo, Superior General of the Missionary Daughters of the Holy Family of Nazareth.
